About
Pronouns: She/They
Hometown: San Diego, CA
What do you wish you had known when you were in college?
That it is okay to do things alone because often it is within our uncomfortableness that we grow and become better people.
What does your perfect day off look like?
Sleeping in. Getting up and ready to go on shoot (pictures) somewhere fun for a few hours. Then coming back home and building one of those large Lego sets that also takes a couple hours, and more than likely avoiding social media and just enjoying my me time.
What are your top personal goals for this year?
Taking care of my physical health. For the past eight months I have been meal prepping for the work week consistently (with some days off due to traveling), and I have already noticed better energy overall. Now I have joined the gym and I am trying to go a minimum of 3 days per week and do cardio and/or strength training for at least 30-45 minutes.
What are your strengths as a Success Coach?
I am outgoing and straight-forward and believe my strengths lie in my lived experiences/identities to help form connections/community with others. Some of these identities are:
- First-generation queer and Latinx college graduate
- College transfer and commuter student
- Experiential service abroad, as a Returned Peace Corps Volunteer. Served in the Dominican Republic and Liberia, West Africa (3 years total)
- Out-of-state graduate school through fellowship program (California resident, attended in Ohio)
I look forward to connecting with students to build genuine/authentic connections and to help students build on their strengths to further their success!
